When I started mama wears pants, I was interested in expanding on the community of bad ass women I already knew, but with a focus on supporting one another through motherhood. Maybe it's because I was 36 when I had my first son (shoutout to all the geriatic mamas!) and/ or because I was raising my family without the support of family (I lost my mama years before and had no family in Austin), but in an attempt to create community I figured I'd start a blog. Fast forward to years of not blogging and I can assure you the blog may have been helpful, but not nearly as helpful in creating community as other actions, which is where I chose to focus my efforts. Now more than ever women need one another, so if you're interested in meaningful connections and deeper conversations, you're in the right place. Read more and comment with your thoughts, mama! Bold Mama's Guide: Bridging connections within your community
If this sounds daunting, I'm happy to tell you 1) you don't have to start a blog (or vlog) and 2) we're here to help! Whether you choose to do all or none of the following, remember you're already part of a community that cares about your wellness and personal growth so join us for a meetup soon and when you're ready to join as a Founding Member, we'd love to have you! "If it ain't on the calendar, it ain't happening." So, get whatever it is you want to do on the calendar for yourself and invite/ share with others to join.
