This past week I had the pleasure of traveling to Wimberley and staying a few nights at a hill country high rise loft in Wimberley, Texas; just me, myself, and I. It was the first time I have been away from my boys in well over 18 months. I think the last time I had a girls trip was May 2019, but this wasn't a girls trip. This was a mama-only retreat and I did my best to make the most of it. This is the AirBnb I called home for two days. The hosts, Nick and Sarah, were great and even left me a sweet welcome card. You can see the full walk-through of the loft here. Before you go to book this spot, please be aware there are a couple of flights of stairs as it is a "high rise loft". Also, there is no TV and the bed is actually a loft bed, which means you have to climb up and down a ladder. This spot would be great for a solo traveler or couple who doesn't need much space, and it was perfect for me and my needs for this mini getaway. I absolutely LOVED the deck and spent my time out there sipping coffee, chatting on the phone, doing yoga, and simply breathing in the fresh Texas air and enjoying the beautiful and sprawling hill country landscape. Aside from dinner with a friend one night at Wimberley center, I didn't venture out, but there is plenty to do in the area, including wineries, restaurants, and Jacob's Well. So, what did I do on my mini mama getaway? Between uninterrupted work time and simply just sitting with my own thoughts, I enjoyed:
With the mama wears pants community launching in ten days, I am so grateful for this time I had away to relax and recharge. There is a lot more to do and so much in store for our community which is here to support mamas in prioritizing themselves through motherhood. Because honestly, no one else is going to do it for us. Check out the Members page for more information and apply today to reserve your spot as a Founding Member. Stay bold, mama!
